Beloved Binnelanders actor Danny Jantjies died

The actor Bradley Olivier, known for his role as Danny Jantjies in the soapie Binnelanders, died on Tuesday at the age of 36.

According to social media posts, he passed away this morning after a heart attack.

Human Stark, the producer of Binnelanders, confirmed this to Kosmos 94.1 News.

THE PRODUCER OF BINNELANDERS CONFIRMED THE SHOCKING NEWS

Bradley is a South African actor best known for his starring role as Xavier in the Moja Love telenovela Hope, the first scripted drama to air on the channel.

He attended the Tshwane University of Technology from 2005-2007. He landed his first screen role in 2007 after winning a nationwide talent search to find new actors for the kykNET soapie Villa Rosa, as the character JJ.

IT IS BELIEVED HE DIED AFTER A HEART ATTACK

This comes a day after SABC 2 and Danie Odendaal Productions announced that the long-running popular soapie 7de Laan will end after season 24.

The last episode will poignantly be aired on the day after Christmas – 26 December 2023.

THIS COMES A DAY AFTER THE NEWS OF 7DE LAAN

The SABC didn’t provide any reason for the show’s cancellation. 

7de Laan was first broadcast on 4 April 2000 – initially with only one episode a week before it grew to five days a week.
