Clayton to unveil new marker for city's historic Black community

CLAYTON — The city of Clayton announces a new marker commemorating the city’s historic Black community. The A Community Remembered marker highlights how Black homeowners, workers and teachers played a key role in shaping Clayton’s history, businesses and churches. The marker will be unveiled aT 7700 Carondelet Avenue in downtown Clayton at 10 a.m.
