Bayonne used strong defense to roll past East Orange 53-16 in the MLK Hoops Classic at County Prep High School in Jersey City and improve to 12-2.
Bayonne held East Orage’s leading scorers, Azire Mistietta and Arianna Mckinnon, to four points while Kerla Mathurin finished with three points and six rebounds.
The victory marked Bayonne’s fourth in a row, all coming via double digits.
