THE GREAT Christmas Carnival at Newbury Racecourse is opening its doors to help get Christmas underway.
This magical day out in the heart of Berkshire plans to rival London’s Winter Wonderland, and give families some festive fun for a lower price tag.
The Christmas Carnival opens its doors on November 27 and will remain open everyday, apart from November 28, December 5 and 12 and Christmas Day, until it closes on January 2, 2023.
Visitors are encouraged to purchase entry tickets online in advance to avoid disappointment .
Each entry ticket includes a complimentary hot chocolate, parking, as well as a free ticket to view the incredible Flying Father Christmas.
Tickets during off-peak times cost £5, peak tickets cost £7.50. Children under three go free.
Ticket holders who spend £25 or more on rides and attractions online in advance will receive 20% of their purchase, and discounted packages are also available for guests who plan ahead.
Visitors into the Carnival will be wowed as the incredible Flying Father Christmas flies in his sleigh in the sky above – it’s the only one in the UK.
Families with young children can enjoy a Christmas Grotto where kids can meet Mr Claus himself.
Walk-through the Christmas Tree Maze, and skate across an ice rink to get into the Christmas spirit.
Traditional Christmas market stalls will be open everyday, with an Alpine village serving up mulled wine, mince pies and typical Alpine dishes as well as other festive food.
Other entertainment includes funfair rides, rollercoasters and circus shows.
The Christmas Carnival is situated just south of London, and has its own train station too – with the journey taking an hour from London Paddington.
