Aly, who regularly posts motherhood content to TikTok, has shared her husband’s parenting hack to stop their baby daughter crying at the supermarket.

“Now we can make it through the entire grocery shopping trip without any screaming, crying or wanting to get out,” the mum captioned the post.

In the video, their infant daughter can be seen sitting in a trolley’s child seat, where typically the youngster is facing the parent, with his or her back to the action.

But instead of the parents holding on to the handle bar, they have turned the trolley around.

This means their baby girl is at the ‘front’ of the trolley – and looking down the supermarket aisle, not at her parents.

“One day my husband said let her ‘drive’,” the mum wrote on the video.

“And it’s a genius parenting hack, not gonna lie.”

Her video, which has reached more than 683,000 views, left audiences in shock.

“The life hack we didn’t know we needed,” one person wrote.

“Omg I’m (going to) try this with my almost two-year-old. She always wants to come out 20 minutes into shopping,” another said.

A third suggested: “Please bring an attachable steering wheel for your next trip – (they) probably exist.“

While a fourth, who had already implemented the hack, commented: “I tried this with my two-and-a-half year old, and she’s vibing with ‘Wheels on the Bus’ – genius hack.”

Others worried about her daughter being “snatched” by a stranger.

However, the mum and dad had thought that through.

“At all times – one parent is in front and the other is in the back. Her dad is in front, just stepped to the side,” Aly explained.
