BREAKING NEWS: The iconic Milo McFlurry is set to return to Maccas and we’re so ready to shove spoonfuls of that crunchy goodness into our face holes.
McDonald’s announced the news via Instagram on Tuesday with a picture of a Milo McFlurry and the words: “The wait is nearly over. . .”
“We only took this long to do McFlurry made with MILO in Australia because we wanted you to be really, really excited,” the caption read.
The post quickly accumulated more than 8700 likes and 200+ comments.
However, not everyone was impressed by the announcement.
“Not enough Milo it should be 60% Milo everyone knows this,” aj.riots complained on the post.
“Why don’t I just buy a soft serve now and put Milo on it will save some money,” skhan144 added.
Foodie TikTok account Russ Eats called the Milo McFlurry an “overpriced version” of vanilla icecream and Milo in a bowl.
“But this is Australian culture, this is the greatest dessert to exist in our liftime and I can’t f*cking wait,” he said.
Milo was one of the four original McFlurry flavours offered along with Orea, M&Ms and Nerds.
“And Milo was the worst one because the Milo used to get gunked up in the dispenser thing,” Frederick Von Doodlehaus wrote in the comments.
“We had to clean that thing daily.”
“If they don’t tip the entire tip on it I don’t want it,” This is Tim added.
“I feel like this is the time to inform people that you can add 5x the amount of toppings to McFlurrys in the app 😏,” Elle Rockstroh joked.
The Macca’s McFlurry will hit stores on September 27.
