MKR couple Carly Saunders and Tresne Middleton share devastating miscarriage news

My Kitchen Rules couple Carly Saunders and Tresne Middleton have shared devastating news, only months after the death of their one-year-old daughter Poppy Grace.

Poppy was just 20 months old when she died in February, after being diagnosed with leukemia when she was 11 weeks old.

After working through their grief, on what would have been Poppy’s second birthday (June 2), the pair found out Carly was pregnant.

Sadly, the couple has now shared the news that Carly has had a miscarriage.

They had previously revealed they had undergone IVF after starting their “healing journey” on a trip to Thailand.

Carly and Tresne spent April in Thailand. On Wednesday they shared the update.

“After Thailand, we felt that we were ready to start the IVF process again,” they said in a joint Instagram post.

“We had started to heal, we did a variety of health scans, we were fit and well, and we felt as if Poppy was guiding us towards growing our family.”

During the process, they learned Carly was expecting.

“We were over the moon and felt it was a good sign that we found out on such a special day,” they wrote.

Sadly at 11 weeks, they learned their baby no longer had a heartbeat.

“It’s taken a minute to gain the strength to share where we are at,” they said regarding making the news public.

“We only ever want to share uplifting news.”
