Cupra has confirmed another special edition for Australia, this time based on the Formentor SUV.
Just 300 examples of the Cupra Formentor VZe Tribe Edition will be offered in local showrooms, with orders open now.
Priced from $67,990 before on-roads costs (drive-away from $70,990 to $73,990 depending on state), the Tribe Edition is $3000 more than the regular VZe.
It’s just $200 more than the Formentor VZe with Leather and Camera Package however, which still misses out on some key equipment standard in the Tribe Edition.
It rides on copper-accented 19-inch wheels lifted from the flagship Formentor VZx, and picks up Petrol Blue leather interior trim in place of the black finish featured on the standard car.
The front seats are heated, with power adjustment and memory, while the Tribe Edition also gains a nine-speaker Beats audio system, a surround-view camera, and memory side mirrors tied to the set position.
Power comes from the same plug-in hybrid powertrain offered in the VZe:
The Formentor is the best-selling Cupra model in Australia, with 303 deliveries to date in 2024.
An updated model has been revealed, but won’t hit our shores until the second quarter of 2025. It features new front end styling, a refreshed interior, and a range of new engine options.
