If you’re heading to a sporting event this weekend in the tristate area, you better bring a rain coat.
Tropical Storm Ophelia slowly is making its way up the East Coast.
New York Yankees
The Yankees were scheduled to play the Diamondbacks Saturday and Sunday afternoons at Yankee Stadium, but Saturday’s game has already been postponed.
It will be “rescheduled for a yet-to-be-determined date.”
The Yankees aren’t in serious playoff contention but the D’backs are in the hunt for an NL wild card, and that could force MLB to come up with a plan to make up Saturday’s game.
The Yankees and Diamondbacks are scheduled to wrap their series Sunday, but the latest forecast from the National Weather Service, which posted a Hazardous Weather Outlook in the Bronx for flash flooding, doesn’t look promising:
Sunday
