A teenage boy handed himself to police over the church riot

A teenager has been granted bail after he was accused of engaging in “vigilantism” during a violent riot sparked by the stabbing of a bishop in a Sydney church.

The 17-year-old allegedly joined the crowd of 2000 people outside the Christ The Good Shepherd Church in Wakeley, in Sydney’s west, to riot after the bloody attack last week.
