KUWAIT CITY, May 4: In the nineteenth round of the first division league, Al-Sahel rekindled its hopes for the second qualifying spot in the Zain Premier League by securing a 2-0 victory over Al-Yarmouk at Abdullah Al-Khalifa Stadium.

With this win, Al-Sahel climbed to third place with 24 points, trailing behind league leader Al-Yarmouk, who have already secured the first qualifying ticket, and Al-Tadamon in second place with 26 points. In another match, Burgan and Sulaibikhat settled for a 1-1 draw.

To secure the second qualifying spot, Al-Sahel must win its upcoming match against Sulaibikhat in the twentieth round next Friday. However, victory alone might not suffice as it also needs Al-Tadamon to defeat Al-Yarmouk in the same round. The “Sons of Farwaniya” require just one point to secure their spot, having the advantage of confrontations after defeating Al-Sahel twice and drawing twice.
