Aiden Sherrell, the No. 22 player in the 2024 class according to the 247Sports composite, committed to Alabama, he announced on ESPN Tuesday. Here’s what you need to know:
- Sherrell, at Prolific Prep in Napa, Calif., chose the Crimson Tide over Ohio State, Oklahoma, Texas and Michigan State.
- Sherrell is the fifth-highest recruit ever for Alabama and its top-rated center.
- The 6-foot-10 Sherrell averaged 18.8 points and 9.3 rebounds per game for Hillcrest Prep (Arizona) last season in the Overtime Elite league.
- He is the first commit in the Crimson Tide’s 2024 class. The 2023 class, ranked No. 13 by 247Sports, features three four-star players in Jarin Stevenson, Sam Walters and Mouhamed Dioubate.
