Amanda Micallef starts online feud with content creator who dragged her in video for anti-trans post

A Married At First Sight star and ‘comedian’ has thrown an epic tanty after being called out by a creator for anti-trans views.

Amanda Micallef, who identifies as a lesbian, appeared on season 7 of MAFS and was one-half of the first same-sex couple to appear on the show.

This week she started an online feud with content creator Pablo Drag Queen after they ripped her for a picture she posted on her Instagram stories.

Micallef had posted an image of a toilet sign at a Melbourne bar reading: ‘Female and Non-Binary’ back in October last year.

She overlaid the image with a caption reading: “How do we feel about a man who considers himself non-binary walking into a female toilet? I think it’s a poor move for business. I mean that’s how I’m reading this sign? Might as well do gender-neutral toilets and really scare away people in a child-friendly business.”

Pablo recently created a video questioning and discussing what Micallef had written.

On Tuesday this week, Pablo created another video claiming Micallef had sent an email threatening legal action if they didn’t take down the video.

In the first video, Pablo who is non-binary and goes by they/them pronouns, called Micallef out for her story saying she was spreading “blatant anti-trans rhetoric”.

“Obviously if you break this down, there’s a lot that is evidently wrong here,” they said in the video.

“If you call someone non-binary HIM. . . obviously shows Amanda has no real idea about the non-binary experience, the non-binary identity and using neutral pronouns to relate to such a person.

“Now the whole thing, like, it’s a poor move for business and the child-friendly thing is creating the assumption that Amanda believes that if people who are male presenting, who are non-binary go into non-binary toilets, that it is a threat to children, it’s a threat to women, whatever. . .

“This is based in absolutely no reality, no evidence whatsoever because right now in a ‘female’ toilet a trans or non-binary person can use that facility legally under the anti-discrimination act”.

Pablo then labelled Micallef a TERF (a trans-exclusionary radical feminist).

“There seems to be a strange correlation between being an F-grade reality TV star and somehow thinking that you have the right – slash the audacity – to question things like gender-neutral bathrooms and in doing so spreading a rhetoric that is so damaging, so hurtful and so blatantly right wing with zero evidence attached to it and thinking it’s fine,” Pablo said.

This isn’t the first time Micallef has courted controversy, she landed herself in court last year for circulating intimate photos and videos of an ex-partner on her OnlyFans account without their consent.

In 2020, at the height of COVID lockdowns police warned her about starting a protest after she shared her views linking 5G with coronavirus.
