Protests Expected; Security Stepped Up
The police are anticipating large-scale protests by AAP workers at several places on Friday. Security has been heightened outside the ED offices at Akbar Road and APJ Abdul Kalam Road. Officials are taking abundant precautions to prevent any violence. Senior AAP leaders’ speeches are being monitored, and district Deputy Commissioners of Police (DCPs) have been put on high alert. Police officers are conducting foot patrols in vulnerable areas, and traffic police are prepared to manage any disruptions caused by protests.

The police’s main focus is to prevent any group from disrupting the city or reaching sensitive zones in the New Delhi district. Traffic police are also on high alert to manage any potential disruptions caused by the protests.
An officer said, “We have received verbal orders from senior officers to be on the ground and ensure there are no traffic disruptions or law and order issues.”
A senior officer said, “Our main focus is to ensure that no group disrupts the city or reaches sensitive zones in the New Delhi district. We have also increased barricades on roads as part of these efforts.”
