Aussie fitness influencer Libby Powell has launched a ‘virtual girlfriend’ AI version of herself — charging potential lovers for text and voice messages.
Powell, who has more than 1.1m followers on Instagram, is the latest influencer to launch an AI girlfriend.
Libby AI allows subscribers to engage in real-time conversations through text and voice messages with the service costing $1.48 per minute for voice messages from the AI.
The mum-of-one said her team had spent more than 1000 hours teaching the AI her unique traits, allowing it to soak up her personality so users get an authentic and immersive experience.
Libby AI is being branded as “not just an AI girlfriend; it’s a companion offering unlimited support”.
“Whether it’s late at night or the start of your day, Libby will be by your side, ready to make every moment extraordinary. Users can choose to interact with Libby via text or voice messages, with the AI remembering every interaction to help build a genuine relationship.”
To protect confidentiality and to provide security for users, Libby AI lives on the social media network Telegram which uses end-to-end encryption.
The Libby AI platform is allowing fans to sign up for early access, with a maximum of 200 users able to engage with the AI girlfriend at once.
Powell’s new tech venture follows US Snapchat influencer Caryn Marjorie who launched an AI version of herself for “lonely people” earlier this year.
