Australian influencer Ruby Tuesday Matthews reveals her car & Byron Bay home were broken into

Australian influencer Ruby Tuesday Matthews has made a callout on social media after her house and car were broken into while she and her three children were asleep.

The Byron Bay local took to Instagram on Tuesday to share the frightening CCTV footage of the disguised gang of youths as they entered her car and home, later revealing they had allegedly stolen medications, scripts and her work phone.

The footage — shared to her 249,000 followers — showed two teenagers walking up the influencer’s driveway, passing her Mercedes SUV before setting off the security sensor light.

“FYI Bangalow,” she wrote on the clip, “4.30am whilst sleeping our house and cars were broken into.”

“Group of teens are targeting Bangalow as most of our street and surrounding streets were affected.

“Any information please DM me,” she wrote.

Filming herself getting ready later that morning, the mum-of-three to Rocket, Mars and Holiday revealed the youths had emptied her handbag out through the whole car, taken medications and opened her garage door.

“I looked at the security cameras because I have notifications turned off at night, they didn’t ping through so I changed all the systems, and got it all in place,” she said.

“And my phone, my other work phone, which I’m like ‘you idiots’.”

The 30-year-old later realised neighbours in the Bungalow area, located 15 minutes southwest of Byron, were also affected by the brazen thieves.

“The wild part is as well that I got up 15 minutes after they left yesterday, and Mars did too and Mars runs down always to the garage, the kids always run down to the garage because normally the dogs are in there,” she explained.

“So we ran down and when I walked through the garage I thought that he (Mars) had left the garage, like put the garage door open because I was in another area of the downstairs…

“Anyway, so I was like ‘Mars has opened the garage’ and then I went ‘Oh my god’ like they’d obviously come in and didn’t take our cars because they have tracking systems.
