Award-Winning Conrad C144s Debuts At Monaco Yacht Show

One of the many reasons I love the Monaco Yacht Show is the magnetic pull it has on the largest, newest, and most innovative superyachts in the world. Simply put. “They’re all there.”

And as you’d expect, the Monaco Yacht Show also attracts a wonderful cast of characters who design, build, sell, charter, and service the world’s largest, newest, and most innovative superyachts in the world too. In fact, I’m just going to come right out and say it. The yachts will always be opulent, awe-inspiring, outrageous and let’s face it, almost hard to comprehend sometimes. But getting to know the people—the shipbuilders, designers, brokers, and the owners too—that the Monaco Yacht Show attracts every September may even be more special.

I say this because my recent tour of the award-winning Conrad 144s at the Monaco Yacht Show allowed me to become reacquainted with Conrad’s long-time CEO Mikołaj Król who I first met when the shipyard just getting started building yachts Poland. In fact, I was a bit moved to see how successful the yard has become since I first visited in the late 2000’s.

And better still, I was grateful that my other tour guide was Alex Clarke of Dennison Yachting. Not only is Alex one of the most knowledgeable and prolific American yacht brokers I know. He’s also been instrumental in helping educate the American market about Conrad, building in Poland, and the quality, value, style, and comfort Conrad 144s brings to the table.

In fact, the Król told me the C144s ACE is the largest motor yacht ever built in in Poland. It was designed by Reymond Langton Design. Naval architecture is by Diana Yacht Design and the interior decor was designed by M2 Atelier.

She was launched with great fanfare last December in Gdansk. And ACE has already claimed several prestigious awards including the Judges Commendation at World Superyacht Awards 2023, and two International Yachts and Aviation Awards: Best Motor Yacht Over 40 Meters, and the Design Et Al Global Project Award in 2023.

Now that I’ve seen the yacht for myself, I can easily see why. The interior’s floor-to-ceiling panoramic windows virtually eliminate the separation between the inside and the outside. The accommodations plan that features a large owner’s suite, and four additional guest cabins, as well as 4 double cabins for the crew and a captain’s cabin on the bridge is perfectly suited to the requirements of today’s yacht owners.

And the exterior layout includes a clever collection of multi-functional zones including a large swim platform and beach club, four different lounge zones, and on-deck cinema, two bars, two different dining zones and of course, an infinity pool on the highest deck.

So, if you are interested in buying a modern, award-winning, 144-foot yacht with a world-class pedigree that’s available at a pretty competitive price, you better not wait too long. Clarke tells me hulls #2 and #3 have already been sold, and hull #4 might go under contract soon.

Watch this space.
