Best food deal: How to get 20 per cent off at Red Rooster next week

They’re the brave achievers — some might say heroes — who often go towards danger when others might turn away.

To thank first responders — from emergency health and rescue workers to defence and border force personnel — the folk at Red Rooster are going all out for First Responders Day, on May 16.

The day was created to recognise the courage, commitment and contribution of first responders across Australia.

Created by the Australian Retailers Association (ARA), it’s an opportunity to say thank you for the essential and, often over-looked, role first responders play in our lives.

On May 16, Red Rooster is giving first responders 20 per cent off their orders in its restaurants and drive-throughs across Australia.

It’s the third year the company has been part of the ‘thank you’ initiative, keen to give back to members of the community who dedicate their time and lives to protect and save others.

First responders include medical and health workers such as doctors, nurses and paramedics, as well as ambulance staff, police personnel, firefighters, defence and border force personnel, SES, CFA, Marine Rescue teams lifesavers and quarantine workers.

Red Rooster (Reds) is Australia’s first chicken shop with more than 50 years of satisfying Australia’s chicken cravings.

As a national network of franchises, each Red Rooster restaurant is an individual small business owned and operated by a local.

Through charity and sponsorships, these family-owned businesses also give back to the community with initiatives like the First Responders Day discounts.
