BIG W shoppers have been sent into a frenzy over a “miracle” buy which promises to clean filthy ceiling fans in seconds.
Sharing on a popular Facebook group, one customer revealed how she’d tackled the tricksy cleaning problem using Blade Maid Ceiling Fan Cleaner.
The gadget – available at BIG W for $39.95 – is a broom-like contraption a microfibre cleaning head which removes dust and build-up from “all sides of the fan blade at once”.

In her post, the shopper praised the item as “a time saver for me” and “worth every cent”.
“This is a game changer,” she wrote on the Markdown Addicts Australia Facebook page.
“So quick to clean my fans today.
“They are cheaper online if you don’t mind waiting, but I wanted to get mine done.”
Responding to the post, many said they were keen to get their hands on the buy.
“I need to go to BIG W!” said one.
Another said: “How cool are these?”
Said a third: “Just ordered one online – I’m always getting up and using anti bacterial wipes on the blades. This will save me time and my back thanks you!”
Others said they’d already purchased the item and agreed it delivered top results.
“Love mine,” one wrote.
A third added: “Yes, l bought one from BIG W a few weeks ago – it’s fantastic!”
One more said: “Best thing I ever bought. Makes it a lot easier and quicker. Absolutely love it.”
Some criticised the purchase, suggesting that the cleaning job can be done with a “damp pillowcase for free”.
However others said it wasn’t always an option for many home owners.
“Great for [people with] disabilities who can’t climb a ladder anymore,” one said. “Safer option. Thank you for sharing.”
