Brisbane mother ‘disgusted’ by two-year-old daughter’s ‘destructive’ behaviour

Brisbane mum Jessica Robinson has shared the reality of living with her destructive daughter Hallie.

The mother of two — who refers to her young son Lennox as her “golden child” — has opened up about the complete and utter chaos her two-year-old daughter continually causes.

Taking to Instagram, Robinson shared a video of her living room with her 42.1k followers.

In the video, black soil from an indoor plant can be seen sprawled across the tiled floor and mint-coloured rug.

Robinson said the video was “filmed earlier” and wasn’t for “a laugh for Instagram”, rather to send to her own mother.

“Not funny in the slightest and I’m definitely not laughing, I feel sick and it took 2 hours to clean this mess. This is my whole life every single day I have Hallie with me,” she wrote over the video.

Labelling her daughter “destructive 24/7”, Robinson added: “I have to keep every door and baby gate in the house closed at all times, I’ve hidden every chair so she can’t drag it up to open doors or access the kitchen bench so she’s resorted to throwing dirt out of an indoor plant during the 2 minutes I was cleaning up another of her messes earlier.

“Every time she’s left unsupervised for even a minute she’ll destroy something.”

Robinson also went as far to say she dreaded the days spent at home with Hallie, and did not want to be around her.

“I’m disgusted by her behaviour and constantly question how the hell I went so wrong to have a child that acts this way and goes out of her way to cause destruction at every chance she gets,” she said.

“I literally don’t know what to do anymore but I could honestly just disappear. This is beyond hard, it feels like a living nightmare.”

The mother confided in her brains trust — her Instagram followers — asking for their recommendations.

Toying with the idea of booking a doctor’s appointment and getting her daughter assessed, she asked: “What strategies are helpful for you and your kids when it comes to discipline?”

“Help me please. Any and every tip,” she added, in a desperate plea.
