Nick Chubb’s leg day routine is one-of-a-kind.
The Cleveland Browns’ star running back has been one of the best players at the position over the last couple of years, and a recent workout video shows why Chubb might be so dominant.
In an Instagram clip, the four-time Pro Bowler is seen squatting what appears to be more than 600 pounds for multiple reps — and relatively easily at that.
Chubb also was seen using a “Tsunami Bar,” a type of bar that, unlike a typical weight-lifting bar, bends where the weight is placed, thus making it even more difficult on the user due to the weight not being perfectly balanced.
This isn’t the first time that the running back has been seen squatting unthinkable weights.
In the summer of 2022, he was seen squatting 610 pounds in a workout video that went viral.
Although there’s no official weight for this clip, a similar amount of weight seems to be dispersed on the bar.
With Browns training camp set to start this upcoming weekend, Chubb seems primed for another Pro-Bowl caliber season.
One of the best at his position in the game, Chubb, 27, had his best statistical season in 2022 for Cleveland.
The Georgia standout had 302 carries for 1,525 yards — with an average of 5 yards per carry — and scored 12 touchdowns on the ground, which earned him his first All-Pro nod.
Chubb’s career performance last season also helped him become the highest-rated running back in EA Sports’ upcoming Madden 24 video game at 97 overall.
Despite running backs in the NFL having contract woes — including the Giants’ Saquon Barkley — Chubb’s value to the Browns is undeniable, and they will need all they can get out of him to challenge the Cincinnati Bengals and Baltimore Ravens in the AFC North.
