The airline currently flies from Birmingham, Manchester and Edinburgh to Barcelona.

There are five weekly flights between Birmingham and Barcelona, with outbound fares starting from £44.99 per person in June.

According to the airline’s website, the Birmingham route will operate throughout the year, including in the winter months.

Meanwhile, daily flights between Manchester and Barcelona start from £36.99 in May, with the route also operating throughout the year.

The Edinburgh to Barcelona route only operates once a week, with fares starting from £69.99 per person.

Flights between Edinburgh and Barcelona will operate until November.

Holidaymakers in south Wales can also fly to Alicante and Malaga with Vueling, as part of the airline’s summer schedule.

The twice weekly flights to Malaga from Cardiff operate every Wednesday and Saturday, with prices starting from £93.99 for a one-way ticket.

Meanwhile, the Alicante route from Cardiff is a little more frequent, with flights operating every Monday, Wednesday and Saturday.

One-way tickets in April start from £52.99 per person.

Airport mistakes to avoid: From gate delays to overpriced currency exchange

The routes from Cardiff to Malaga and Alicante will operate over the summer, with flights scheduled to run from April until the end of October.

Earlier this year, Vueling launched daily flights from London Heathrow to Barcelona El Prat.

The low-cost airline also now flies directly from London Heathrow to Paris Orly, with the new route being introduced just in time for the Paris Olympics.

Both routes launched on April 7, 2024, with prices starting from £39.99.

Carolyn Prowse, Chief Commercial, Customer, Network and Strategy Officer at Vueling, previously said: “We are delighted to relaunch operations from London Heathrow, UK’s largest airport.

“These two new routes are in addition to our existing operation from London Gatwick and position Vueling as one of the key airlines connecting these major hubs across Europe.”

The budget airline now flies to 101 destinations across Europe, Africa and the Middle East.

Vueling isn’t the only airline launching new routes across Europe this summer.

Other new routes

Earlier this month, Ryanair launched brand-new flights from Norwich Airport to several holiday hotspots.

Brit holidaymakers in East Anglia can now fly to Alicante, Faro and Malta from Norwich Airport with Ryanair.

Flights will operate on both Mondays and Fridays, making these routes an ideal choice for a long weekend away.

Brit holidaymakers looking for a good deal should use Ryanair’s “any destination” feature, which helps passengers find the cheapest deal.

We’ve explained how to use the new online feature, here.

Ryanair has also launched new flights from Cardiff Airport.
