Calls for funding transparency on climate activist groups after Woodside boss Meg O’Neill targeted

Climate activist groups targeting WA gas producers should be subjected to similar disclosure requirements on funding as listed companies, according to Australia’s peak body for retail shareholders.

Speaking a day after Disrupt Burrup Hub protesters descended on the house of Woodside Energy boss Meg O’Neill, Australian Shareholders’ Association chief executive Rachel Waterhouse called for greater transparency around the funding of protest groups which are not registered charities.
