The Scottish Sun has obtained CCTV showing the murdered gran taking her beloved border collie for a walk near her home to the local shops three days before her body was found.

She is then seen buying cigarettes at 8.46am on December 19 before leaving the store and telling a pal ‘see you later.’

Ann, who has family in Gweedore, Donegal, Ireland, is then heard telling her black and white collie ‘good girl, clever girl’ before she makes the 30-second walk back to her home.

Sources have revealed the CCTV is one of the last known sightings of Ann, who visited the shop several times a day.

Police Scotland have swamped the area with cops conducting door-to-door inquiries to try and identify a suspect in the senseless slaying – and further CCTV from doorbell cameras.

A source said: “Ann was a lovely lady and the CCTV shows her usual activities – walking her dog and popping into the shop for either cigarettes or dog food.

“But she’s not been seen at the shop since the morning of December 19 which is extremely unusual and completely out of character.”

A picture issued by murder cops shows Ann at a surprise 60th birthday party thrown for her last year.

She is seen happy and smiling with family and friends before dancing to ‘Loch Lomond’ at the end of the night.

Ann’s death has been confirmed as suspicious following a postmortem and a murder investigation is ongoing led by detectives from Police Scotland’s Major Investigation Team.

Detective Chief Inspector Lynsey Watters said: “Our thoughts are with Ann’s family and we are providing them with support at this very difficult time.

“Our investigation into her murder is ongoing and I would urge anyone who can help to get in touch as soon as you can.

“I would ask anyone who believes they may have seen or heard anything which may be suspicious around the area to get in touch with us.”

She added: “Extensive enquiries are ongoing in the area and officers continue to work door to door, along with other lines of investigation.

“There will be an additional police presence in the area as this work continues and I would urge anyone who has any concerns, or who believes they may have information to speak to our officers.”
