Christmas boost: Boots sales over the three months to the end of February were 3% higher than a year earlier
Sales at Boots have been boosted by buzzy skincare ranges beloved by celebrities such as model Hailey Bieber.
It hailed a bumper Christmas as sales over the three months to the end of February were 3 per cent higher than a year earlier. Skincare products flew off the shelves and sales soared 15 per cent.
This was thanks to brands such as Drunk Elephant, a favourite of Ms Bieber, as well as Sol de Janeiro and Boots’ own brand No7. UK boss Sebastian James said there was ‘positive momentum across the whole business’.
However, its US owners were tight-lipped about the future as speculation about a potential London listing has cooled.
This is among options being discussed, according to Bloomberg, at a possible valuation of £7billion.
