College Football Rivalry Odds and Biggest Bet Games After Thanksgiving

The final regular season weekend of the college football season is filled with the sports biggest rivalries. That includes “The Game” in the Big Ten between undefeated Ohio State and Michigan at the big house in Ann Arbor. The winner maintains their top 4 position for the College Football Playoff. The loser may drop down pending the results later in the day between No. 4 Washington in their rivalry game vs. Washington State, and No. 5 Florida State in their sunshine state rivarly with Florida.

The 127th rivalry previously known as the Civil War will be played for the final time as Pac 12 rivals Friday night when No. 6 Oregon hosts No. 16 Oregon State with the Ducks still in position to make the College Football Playoff. Ohio State at Michigan

The most anticipated regular season game of the year, and the most watched and wagered college football game is Saturday in Ann Arbor. It’s a behemoth Big Ten battle between heavyweights Ohio State (11-0) and Michigan (11-0).

Less than two weeks ago, this line was Michigan -6 at the leading online sportsbooks. Ahead of last Saturday’s Week 12 games, FanDuel Sportsbook had Michigan -5.5. The line is now Wolverines -3.5 as the Buckeye’s have been playing a bit better the their rival in recent weeks while Michigan head coach Jim Harbaugh has been suspended and won’t be on the sidelines Saturday for the sports biggest game and rivalry.

Both Michigan and Ohio State are defensive dominators allowing nation-low 9 and 9.5 points per game versus FBS opponents. Ohio State’s defense is allowing a nation-low 3.9 yards per play and 255 yards per game, and Michigan 4.1 yards per play and a nation-low 235 yards per game. Neither teams offense ranks top 25 in yards with Ohio State 424 yards per game (148 rush, 276 pass) and Michigan 400 yards per game (171 rush, 229 pass).

Michigan has won the last two meetings over Ohio State 42-27 and 45-23 last year with the Buckeyes losing as 7+ point favorites in each contest. Now Ohio State is an underdog in this game for the first time since 2018.

I preferred Michigan a few weeks ago as this contest got closer, but the Harbaugh suspension, higher betting line and now adjustment just has me watching instead of wagering with live in-play betting now a preferred option.

Michigan vs Ohio State prop bets

  • Michigan QB J.J. McCarthy passing yards: Over/Under 210.5
  • Ohio State QB Kyle McCard passing yards: O/U 234.5
  • Ohio State WR Marvin Harrison, Jr. receiving yards: O/U 87.5
