ComplexCon opens its new edition on November 18 and 19

Organized by Complex, an online magazine and media company that covers pop culture, music, sports and sneaker culture, the new edition of its event ComplexCon, will take place on November 18 and 19 at the Long Beach Convention Center. American designer Cynthia Lu, founder of Cactus Plant Flea Market fashion brand, was chosen to be the artistic director of the event.

Kid Cudi will perform at ComplexCon 2023

Founded in 2015, her streetwear label known for its four-eyed smiley representations has since collaborated with numerous brands such as Nike, but also McDonalds, Erewhon grocery market, and personalities such as Kid Cudi, Tyler the Creator and Travis Scott. For several years now, Lu also received support from Pharrell Williams, with whom she worked with at Billionaire’s Girl Club before launching her brand.
 
ComplexCon will host 150 fashion brands this year, presenting collections, collaborations, pop-ups, limited products and other exclusive drops. Participating brands include Crocs, Asics, Honor the Gift, Levi’s, Marc Jacobs, Ebay, LG, as well as Adidas with its collaboration with Kasina and artist Junggi Kim, and Converse with its collaboration with Boston-based retailer and label Concepts.

Debates will also take place at the Sneaker of the Year panel on Sunday, hosted by Joe La Puma with Lil Yachty, Jim Jones, Kristen Noel Crawley and DJ Clark Kent. They will discuss their choices for the best sneaker of 2023.
 
The festival will feature performances by a host of artists, including Kid Cudi, Lyrical Lemonade, Kerwin Frost, Luh Tyler and Kalan. Finally, the food event First We Feast Lagoon will include over 30 restaurants and eateries from across the US and talent featured on its shows, including The Burger show and Emmy-nominated Hot Ones.
