NEW DELHI: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is gearing up to release the admit cards for the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) July 2023 on its official website. Eligible candidates who have successfully submitted their examination fees will be able to download their admit cards online through the candidate login on the official website – https://ctet.nic.in.

As per an official note published on the website, candidates for CTET July 2023 can access their admit cards from ctet.nic.in. The CTET Admit Card will include detailed information about the examination centre. The admit cards will be available on CBSE’s official website (https://ctet.nic.in) starting from August 18, 2023.
Candidates who completed their application process and paid the examination fee between April 27, 2023, and May 26, 2023, will be appearing for the offline mode (OMR based) examination scheduled for August 20, 2023. The admit cards, containing details about the allotted examination city, can be accessed on the CTET website, based on the applicants’ present address districts.

Candidates should note that due to the shift from online to offline mode, there have been changes in examination cities based on available centres. The allocation of examination cities is based on the applicants’ current address district provided during the online form submission. Requests for changes in the examination city will not be entertained. Stay updated with the official CTET website for further announcements and information related to the examination process.
The passing criteria for CTET 2023 are as follows:

  • General category candidates must score a minimum of 90 out of 150 marks to pass.
  • Reserved category candidates need a minimum of 82.5 out of 150 marks to pass.

The CTET exam is a 3-hour test with 150 multiple-choice questions (MCQs) of 1 mark each. It is divided into Paper 1 and Paper 2, catering to candidates interested in teaching different classes. Both papers carry 150 marks, making the total exam marks 300. The passing criteria are set at 60% for the general category and 55% for reserved categories. Successful candidates are awarded a CTET certificate, which remains valid for a lifetime.
