Cult favourite frozen yoghurt cafe Yo-Chi opens on Oxford Street, Leederville

You can spot a Yo-Chi store from hundreds of metres away.

The self-serve frozen yoghurt cafe almost always has a long queue — which is often more than a half-hour wait — of dozens of hungry fans snaking up the street.

Now, Leederville’s footpaths are about to get a lot more crowded after Yo-Chi opened the doors on December 12 at its third WA venue on Oxford Street — this time, offering acai.

The Leederville store is the 12th venue Yo-Chi has opened this year, with frozen yoghurt flavours such as lychee, red velvet and salted butterscotch and toppings such as mochi, warm Nutella and fresh fruit.

The family owned business first opened in Melbourne in 2012 and in 2022 was named in the Financial Review’s Top 50 fastest growing companies in Australia.
