Dinner SOS: Listener Questions with Mark Bittman

ON THIS WEEK’S episode of Dinner SOS, food director and host Chris Morocco is joined by food authority Mark Bittman to answer listener questions and share their best tips and tricks for all of our cooking conundrums.

They discuss how to eat well on a camping trip by prepping ahead of time at home and keeping it simple (Mark admits from experience that making pasta over an open fire is not the way to go!). They also share quick, kid-friendly breakfasts you’ll want to keep in the rotation like yogurt parfaits and oatmeal (which Chris loves to make in big batches at the beginning of the week and to reheat each morning).

They both admit to taking shortcuts that remind us that the pros are just like us home cooks. Chris confesses to loving the convenience of a store-bought pancake or waffle mix and Mark reveals that he buys summer produce like tomatoes in bulk to freeze and use all year long.
