Donna Nelson: Family had no contact with former Derbarl Yerrigan Health Service chair since Japan arrest

The children of detained WA woman Donna Nelson have not spoken to their mother since she was arrested in Japan more than 10 months ago but her lawyers say she will be “relieved to know that she hasn’t been forgotten”.

The prominent Indigenous community leader was stopped by a customs officer on her arrival at Narita International Airport in Tokyo on January 4, where it is alleged nearly 2kg of methamphetamine was found inside her suitcase.
