Endangered Silver Advisory issued for missing St. Louis County man

ST. LOUIS COUNTY, Mo. – A missing elderly St. Louis County man was spotted in Edwardsville, Illinois, on Wednesday, as authorities asked the public for help in locating him.

The Frontenac Police Department issued an Endangered Silver Advisory for Terry Clanton on Wednesday.

Clanton, 83, was reported missing at 7 a.m. on Tuesday from the 1100 block of Tamaron Place in the village of Westwood.

Police said Clanton, who has dementia, was overdue to arrive at a planned destination. His vehicle was last seen via a license plate reader in Edwardsville around 1:55 p.m. Wednesday.

Clayton is described as a white male, 6’1″, approximately 190 pounds, with gray hair and blue eyes. His vehicle is a maroon 1998 Subaru Forester with Missouri license plates JF5B7Z.

Anyone who has seen Clanton or has information on his whereabouts is asked to dial 911 to contact their nearest law enforcement agency or call the Frontenac Police Department at 314-737-4600.
