Forssenius’ promotion from acting CEO marks an important milestone in the Stockholm label’s trajectory of international expansion, propelled by a renewed focus on its founding heritage and DNA, according to a press release.

Having served as acting CEO since April last year, the CEO has already begun shaping the company’s direction around her strong vision for the organisation’s structure and values, it continued.

During her time in the top spot, Forssenius oversaw the recent appointment of Anna Teurnell as creative lead of Filippa K, a key development in the brand’s long-term strategy.

Filippa K boasts 21 global boutiques, all in Northern Europe and mainly in its home market. On its website, the label claims to be sold through over 400 retailers worldwide. In the past, the brand has claimed a turnover of 70 million euros, but in recent years the Swedish press has reported a figure of 500 million kronor, or around 45 million euros.
