The Springboks have become the second team in history to successfully defend the Rugby World Cup after beating New Zealand.

‘ONE-POINT CHAMPIONS’
Springboks defeated France 29-28 in the quarterfinals, beat England 16-15 in the semi-finals, and were declared champions when they defeated New Zealand’s All Blacks with 12-11.
BNN reports that the Springboks have made history as the first team to win a World Cup final with a one-point margin.
The South Africans are back-to-back Rugby World Cup champions after edging home 12-11 in an epic and tense final at Stade France.
They are the Rugby World Champions for a record breaking fourth time.
South Africa’s cricket team, Proteas also survived a late scare to beat Pakistan by one wicket in their sixth ICC Cricket World Cup match on Friday, 27 October.
South African sports fans took to social media on Sunday morning to highlight the similarities between Proteas and the Springboks’ one-point wins.
