Forensic reforms to help secure domestic violence convictions

Police will soon be able to refer domestic violence victims for examinations by forensic specialists, the results of which could be used in court to help convict dangerous perpetrators and put them behind bars.

The forensic service will be part of a $4.5 million pilot family and domestic violence service being trialled by the Cook Government.
