Forget Ear Piercings, Megan Fox Pierced Her Nails for the People’s Choice Awards — See the Video

When Megan Fox changes her manicure, the energy in the beauty world shifts ever so slightly. The actor and her manicurist, Brittney Boyce, don’t just paint her nails — they create little masterpieces, and each one is packed with tiny surprises that feel so very Fox. Her latest set is no exception: a shiny mani with sparkling charms dangling off each tip. Forget ear piercings, now I want nail piercings.

For the People’s Choice Awards on February 18, Fox and Boyce collaborated on a reflective silver chrome manicure with a (literal) handful of charms attached to each nail. Fox’s nails were shaped into a classic long almond and painted with a molten metallic silver and chrome combo. Each charm was affixed via a small hole at the very tip. Rhinetoned stars, hearts, and crosses shimmered and sparkled as Fox moved her fingers, adding even more shine to the already blinding chrome.

Charms and 3D textures have become a cornerstone of Fox’s manicure routine. No neutral milk bath manicures for her! For the Grammy Awards, Boyce applied small silver cross charms to the center of Fox’s pastel bubblegum pink nails. In January, she deviated from her usual formula of extra-long nails in favor of a short and sweet set accented with holographic bubble hearts. (Oh, and she ditched the dark and colorful polishes and went neutral, which was also a pretty big change.) Prior to that, Boyce painstakingly applied tiny silver balls to the tips of Fox’s red French manicure, a process that took an hour to complete. Their most glorious collab, however, was definitely the 3D silver chrome set that read “BOYS SUCK,” which Fox wore to promote her book Pretty Boys are Poisonous. According to Boyce, the nails took a whopping five hours to create, but it was worth every second. I’d definitely go see an exhibit of Megan Fox’s best nail art.
