Adored former Sunrise host David Koch has shocked fans by revealing some exciting family news.
The 68-year-old made a special appearance on The Morning Show on Friday, when he told hosts Larry Emdur and Kylie Gillies that he was about to become a grandfather again.
Bursting with pride, Koch revealed his youngest daughter is pregnant, and he gets to be at her first ultrasound.
“Georgie is expecting her first child,” he said.
With his daughter living on the other side of the world, the ex-TV host and his wife Libby will soon fly out to London ahead of his daughter’s first ultrasound.
Keeping with family traditions, Koch and his wife will buy the pram.
“We have a family tradition, we buy the first pram for each of the families,” he said.
Koch is no stranger to the role of being a grandparent, he already has eight grandchildren.
The youngest grandchild was born in November 2021 to his son AJ and daughter-in-law Carolina.
Koch regularly shares family updates on social media, and most recently shared some adoring pictures of himself and his wife for their 45th wedding anniversary.
“45th Wedd Anniversary. Yes, Libby is a saint. Four kids, 8 grandchildren for a family of 18 Aussies/Sri Lankan/Mexican/Germans later we are very blessed and grateful,” he wrote.
