The Giants have signed veteran wide receiver Allen Robinson, the team announced Thursday.
The deal is for one year, according to NFL insider Josina Anderson.
Robinson, 30, was most recently with the Pittsburgh Steelers, who released him in March in a cost-cutting move. He started all 17 games last season and had 34 catches for 280 yards and no touchdowns.
In his 10-year career, Robinson has appeared in 127 games (122 starts) with the Jacksonville Jaguars, Chicago Bears, Los Angeles Rams and the Steelers. In that time, he has recorded 562 receptions for 7,028 yards and 43 touchdowns.
Robinson’s production wasn’t stellar in 2023, averaging a career-low 8.2 yards per catch. He joins a Giants offense that last season ranked No. 31 in the league in passing yards per game (169.8).
Robinson made a Pro Bowl in 2015 during his four-year stint with with the Jaguars. He also spent four years with the Bears, and then one with the Rams who eventually traded him to Pittsburgh.
