Giants eye more QB prospects, digging deeper on their draft board

The Giants have been doing their homework on quarterbacks as the draft draws closer.

That continued into this week. NFL Network reports that Oregon’s Bo Nix and South Carolina’s Spencer Rattler are both visiting the Giants in East Rutherford.

If the Giants choose not to trade up from or use their No. 6 overall pick on a top quarterback, Nix and Rattler are options that could be on the board in later rounds.

Nix could potentially go in the first round, and could be an option if the Giants choose to trade back into late Round 1. Rattler is expected to be a mid-round selection. The Giants have six picks in this year’s draft, and one could be used on a replacement for Daniel Jones.

The 26-year-old is rehabbing from an ACL tear that ended his season in Week 9 last year. Before that, he missed three games with neck injuries, limiting him to just six starts in which he threw for 909 yards, two touchdowns and six interceptions. The Giants may look to bring in a young signal caller to be the quarterback of their future after a disappointing 6-11 season in 2023.
