Gonzalez slugs two home runs to power No. 2 SJV over Allentown – Softball recap

St. John Vianney, the No. 2 ranked team in the NJ.com Top-20 rankings, muscled its way to a 9-0 victory in Allentown over the Redbirds.

Gabby Gonzalez provided a big chunk of the muscle for the Lancers, collecting three hits with two home runs and four RBI during the victory.

Giuliana Cardin connected for a home run as well for SJV (6-2) and finished the contest with two hits and two RBI.

Isabelle Cattelona had a 2-for-4 day at the dish for SJV and drove in two runs. Madison McDougall registered three hits at the dish for the Lancers and got the win in the circle, allowing three hits and issuing one walk with 18 strikeouts during her complete-game gem.

Angelina Minerva had two hits in the contest for Allentown (5-1) and Braylie LaFisca allowed seven runs (five earned) on nine hits and a walk in five innings for the Redbirds.
