Gracie Piscopo’s hunky new boyfriend has taken their relationship to the next level, going Instagram official with the Perth social media sensation.
Daniel Classen, 28, posted a series of birthday snaps to his now-public Instagram page on Tuesday, with his celebratory cake featuring a cheeky jibe at PerthNow.
As well as a cute photo of the couple kissing, Classen posted a photo of his Perth Cake Collective love heart-shaped birthday cake with the words “happy bday New Zealand hunk” in icing — a nod to PerthNow’s exclusive story from May revealing the pair’s relationship headlined: “Gracie Piscopo’s mystery New Zealand hunk revealed as Daniel Classen”.
It seems PerthNow may have given Classen a new nickname.
Piscopo celebrated her birthday in June, with a similar cake from the popular Perth Cake Collective, featuring the same small love heart-shaped icing.
Even Classen’s friends are in on the joke.
Timothy Throssel, who was tagged in one of Classen’s birthday pics declares he is a “friend of the New Zealand hunk” in his Instagram bio, with a link to PerthNow’s exclusive story.
It appears Classen’s 28th birthday party was a rager. He posted pictures of him swilling an $80 bottle of champagne, playing beer pong (with champagne), posing with friends, and a sweet snap with Piscopo, who has more than one million followers on Instagram.
Prior to Tuesday, Piscopo, 26, and Classen have kept their catch-ups around her luxury home on the down low.
When questioned by PerthNow at a Miss Universe WA event in May, Classen was coy about the secret hangouts with Piscopo but did confess he is already impressed by her maternal instinct.
“Gracie has a great kid,” he said.
Piscopo’s four-year-old son is the child she shares with 29-year-old murder-accused Andre Rebelo.
Piscopo was “left stunned” after her son’s father Andre Rebelo, was charged with murder last year following the death of his mother, Colleen Rebelo, on May 25, 2020.
However, the beauty posted a string of Instagram updates suggesting she was “healing” in recent months.
One of the posts shows a smiling Pokemon captioned “me, finding my spark again after believing it had been put out”.
Another image that showed a baby unicorn peeking from a plant was captioned “in the mood to heal through play and curiosity”.
As for Classen — who opted not to bring Gracie as his date to the event— he is a man with a passion for fashion and expressed his support for the local modelling industry at the Camfield.
His Instagram page is littered with pictures of him holidaying, enjoying expensive red wine, and driving his pride and joy — a white Land Rover Defender ute.
“I think it’s very important, to lift them up and make them feel like they belong here and just make them feel like they’re worth what they believe they are worth,” he told The West of the Miss Universe contestants.
Piscopo only returned to her Instagram account in February after a hiatus following Mr Rebelo’s shock arrest.
