Fresh off his first AFL hit out for debut club West Coast, number one draft pick Harley Reid was spotted sharing a kiss with a potential love interest post-game.
Although Reid’s Eagles came out as 50-point losers on Saturday afternoon, the young bull arguably found form off-field after he was seen cosying up to 19-year-old AFLW player Yasmin Duursma in the rooms.
Sister to Essendon’s Xavier and North Melbourne’s Zane, Yasmin herself plays on the wing in the AFLW and was traded to Carlton at the end of last year following a stint with Port Adelaide.
Reid and Duursma might now be trading notes on midfield craft and a few cheeky kisses after future games.
However, with Duursma’s return to her home of Victoria, the couple will have to navigate a long-distance relationship with Reid based in Perth.
Hailing from Victoria himself, the Eagle’s number 9 was drafted to West Coast despite AFL pundits expecting he may grow homesick if forced to move to WA.
While the heights of his success remain to be seen, Eagles fans and teammates have quickly embraced the young star.
The highly touted first-gamer picked up 16 disposals, including five clearances, as his side was outplayed by a more experienced Port Adelaide, going down 120-70 at Adelaide Oval.
