Hero MotoCorp, one of the leading two-wheeler manufacturers globally, today launched its most powerful motorcycle to date, the Mavrick 440. This new addition marks Hero MotoCorp’s entry into the highly competitive mid-capacity segment of the Indian market. Currently, the segment is dominated by Royal Enfield, a Chennai-based manufacturer, but other bike makers like Triumph Speed 400 and its own cousin, the Harley-Davidson X440 are also looking to tap into this segment.

The Mavrick 440 series presents a selection of three versions:

➤ Base Variant: This option, exclusively available in white, is equipped with spoke wheels.➤ Mid Variant: Offering additional color choices, the mid variant comes with blue and red alloy wheels.

➤ Top Variant: Combining style and performance, the top-tier variant features black and matte black diamond-cut alloy wheels.

Bookings for the Mavrick 440 are set to commence in February 2024, with deliveries slated to start in April.

The Hero Mavrick 440, which shares its foundation with the Harley-Davidson X440, a joint venture between Hero and the US-based marque, features unique design changes. Notable design elements include a round headlamp with an H-shaped LED DRL and LED turn signals, reminiscent of its Harley-Davidson counterpart. Other features include a sculpted fuel tank, a flat handlebar, a single-piece seat, a short front fender, and telescopic forks at the front, distinguishing it from the X440’s USD units. Additionally, the motorcycle comes equipped with round bar-end mirrors.Powering the Mavrick 440 is a 440cc single-cylinder, oil-cooled engine, similar to its Harley sibling. However, Hero MotoCorp might introduce a different state of tune to match the motorcycle’s unique character.

The Mavrick 440 is equipped with 43mm front telescopic forks and boasts a front travel of 130mm. Prioritizing rider comfort, the motorcycle incorporates a neutral footrest position. Its lighting system comprises an LED headlamp projector, while the instrumentation features a negative LCD display. Noteworthy features include smartphone connectivity for call alerts and turn-by-turn navigation, with Bluetooth connectivity provided as a standard feature.

The Mavrick 440 showcases unique characteristics such as broad handlebars and visible metallic components. Housing a 440cc long-stroke oil-cooled engine, it ensures a remarkable 90% torque is accessible at a low 2,000 rpm. With a peak torque of 36 Nm, the Mavrick 440 guarantees a robust and agile riding experience.

Earlier, the manufacturer had released a video teaser of the Mavrick 440, revealing additional details about its features. The motorcycle will sport a fully digital instrument cluster with possible turn-by-turn navigation, Bluetooth connectivity with call alerts, and other functionalities.

The company also launched Xtreme125R today. It said that the bike can take just 5.9 seconds to accelerate from 0 to 60 km/h. Beyond speed, it boasts features like an LED projector headlamp, Single Channel ABS, and impressive fuel efficiency at 66 km/l. Built on a diamond-frame chassis with 37mm telescopic forks and a 7-step adjustable rear monoshock unit, the motorcycle is powered by an 11.5 hp 125cc engine. Hero MotoCorp said the bike will be availalbe in two variants – one with IBS and the other with ABS – and three vibrant colors: blue, red, and black.

The company announced that the Xtreme 125R’s IBS variant will be availalbe at Rs 95,000 (Ex-showroom) and the ABS variant at Rs 99,500 (ex-showroom). The Xtreme 125R will be available for buyers in showrooms from February 20th.
