International Swimming Federation President endorses Africa for World Junior Championships

LUANDA, May 4: Hussein Al-Musallam, the President of the International Swimming Federation, has officially announced Africa’s opportunity to host the World Junior Swimming Championships. This declaration was made during Al-Musallam’s meeting with Her Excellency, the Vice President of the Republic of Angola, Ms. Esparence Decosta.

The discussions during the meeting encompassed Angola’s proposal to host the Championships in 2027 and the ongoing endorsement of the International Swimming Federation’s literacy initiatives in Angola. Since 2023, over 300,000 children and 150 physical education instructors have reaped the benefits of the swimming literacy program.
