Kelly Stafford’s concern for 49ers wives amid pricey Super Bowl suites

The Super Bowl secret is out.

The prices for suites at Allegiant Stadium for Sunday’s big game between the 49ers and Chiefs have been a hot topic in recent days after Christian McCaffrey’s mom, Lisa, said on her “Your Mom” podcast that she and her family would not be getting one because it’s too expensive.

According to TickPick, the suites for the game at the Las Vegas venue range from $800,000 to $2 million.

Kelly Stafford, the wife of Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford, brought up the topic to Claire Kittle, the wife of 49ers tight end George Kittle, on Stafford’s “The Morning After” podcast.

“The suite prices hit the internet,” Stafford said.

Kittle then said the prices were “absurd” and she and her family would not be getting one.

They would be instead sitting in the lower bowl of the stadium.

“Well, at least you are down there. I feel like usually the team tickets suck,” Stafford said.

“They do during the regular season,” Kittle agreed. “We were in the lower bowl for the Miami [Super Bowl].”

Stafford said she was worried about Kittle and other 49ers’ wives since they are so recognizable to NFL fans.

“People don’t understand. I think people think during the season tickets are free for players, which they are not. They actually cost nearly the same,” Stafford said.

“When those prices hit, I thought about you guys for one. Because I feel like you guys walk around, people know who you are.”

Kittle noted that her brother, who is 6-foot-7, would be helping play the role of security guard.

She also revealed that while players’ families were spread around the stadium, she would be sitting next to Kristin Juszczyk, her close friend and the wife of 49ers fullback Kyle Juszczyk.

“I am hoping it’s a good game, good start, everyone Is in good spirits all around us,” Kittle said.

Stafford is not foreign to drama with rowdy fans.

In 2021, Stafford threw a pretzel at a rowdy 49ers fan while Matthew’s Rams were playing a road game in San Francisco.

“He was saying a bunch of things that were aggressive towards our crew but zero excuse,” Kelly said at the time. “I tried to apologize, but in the end knew I was wrong. Will always stand up for my guy and everyone I love, but obviously needed to do it completely different! I’m embarrassed too! Sorry you had to witness me in my weak moment!”
