Kids’ frozen meal recalled from major supermarkets in Australia

A range of frozen meals for young children has been recalled after a contaminant was found inside a batch.

Patties Food Group’s Little Meals beef cottage pie 200g was issued a recall on Monday after black rubber was found in a batch, Food Standards Australia said.

“Consumers should not eat this product as it may cause illness/injury if consumed,” the recall order issued.

Customers can determine if the product they purchased was impacted by looking at the best-before date of February 15, 2026.

The meals were sold across Australia in Woolworths, Coles and independent retailers, including IGA.

Customers can return the product to its place of purchase for a full refund.

“Any consumers concerned about their health should seek medical advice,” the recall order said.
