Kmart shoppers left scratching their heads over bizarre new warning

Kmart fans have been left baffled by a mysterious warning on the back of a popular new buy.

Sharing on a well-known Facebook group, one Kmart customer posted images of the bizarre detail which she spotted on a recent purchase.

Taking a closer look at the Multi Converter Bag, the shopper was stunned to see that the text inside the “Warning” box contains a long string of words that were indecipherable.

“Love my new bag but I’m worried about the warning on the back of the label!” the shopper wrote on the Kmart Hacks & Decor.

Many were amused by the confusing discovery, which some commenting that “someone didn’t do their job”.

“The bag comes with a free exorcism reading, that’s pretty cool,” one said.

Another wrote: “I just tried to say it out loud and my furniture starting floating.”

A third added: “I thought it was some Harry Potter spell lol.”

One more said: “And for today’s Latin lesson…”

Responded another: “How did that pass publishing approval? Someone fell asleep on the job.”

But others pointed out that the words were in fact “sample” text that is used by many designer programs as a default until the correct text is placed there.

“’Lorem ipsum…etc’ is a very common sample or ‘placeholder’ text that shows how a formatted document will look,” one said. “It is supposed to be replaced with real words in the final document before printing.”

Another wrote: “Oops, that’s filler text. Someone forgot to paste the actual instructions.”

7NEWS.com.au understands that there was a production error with this Kmart label and there are no warnings associated with the Multi Converter Bag, meaning customers should not be alarmed.

It’s believed the Kmart team is working to update these tags to reduce any customer confusion.
