Kristin Juszczyk battled ‘imposter syndrome’ after Taylor Swift wore her NFL design

Kristin Juszczyk opened up about dealing with “imposter syndrome” after her design business took off when Taylor Swift wore one of her custom creations during the 2023 NFL season.

The 30-year-old designer, who is married to 49ers Pro Bowl fullback Kyle Juszczyk, made the revelation when asked, “How has this whirlwind of change been for you?” in a recent Q& A on her Instagram.

“It’s hard sometimes not to have imposter syndrome when you start to have success, so I struggle with that but I’m trying to just keep my head down and focus on my main goal which is to get this line off the ground!” Juszczyk said.

“I keep pinching myself to make sure I’m awake. All I’ve ever wanted was to be a entrepreneur and to start my own line. This has been my lock screen for about a year now,” she wrote, including a screengrab of her lock screen, which featured photos of her at work and other moments with her husband.

She added that she had to “white out” some of the photos on her lock screen because “those are hopefully coming soon.”

Juszczyk has been reworking clothing for years after she was unable to find fashionable clothing to wear to her husband’s NFL games.

The brunette beauty quickly garnered fame — and reached over one million Instagram followers in February — when Swift, who’s dating Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce, wore a custom puffer jacket to the Chiefs-Dolphins wild-card game in January.

That month, Juszczyk reached a licensing deal with the NFL, which allowed her to use the league logo in men’s and women’s apparel designs.

Juszczyk said during the Q&A on Instagram that she hopes to release the line by start of the 2024 season, but doesn’t want to rush and sacrifice the quality of her designs.

The 49ers WAG also designed a custom puffer jacket for Brittany Mahomes, the wife of Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes, which she wore to the wild-card game, as seen in photos of her and Swift.

“I started with sweatpants because that’s kind of the easiest thing to make, very beginner-friendly. And then it all kind of just transpired from there,” Juszczyk told The Post in a recent interview while looking back on the start of her design career.

“Once I made those sweatpants, I just learned how much I love sewing and I love creating and it’s so rewarding and it became a later-in-life passion of mine. And now, I love the challenge of being able to come up with something different each week.”

Juszczyk, so far, has designed custom apparel for Iowa Hawkeyes point guard Caitlin Clark, Niners wideouts Deebo Samuel and Brandon Aiyuk, actor Taylor Lautner and Olympic gymnast Simone Biles, who’s married to Packers safety Jonathan Owens.
