Leah Halton: Meet the Aussie influencer set to break the title of most popular TikTok ever

You may not recognise her by name, but this Aussie influencer is on track to claim the crown for the most-liked TikTok video ever.

Leah Halton, a Melbourne local, has made a name for herself on TikTok lip-syncing to songs.

It’s not a new trend, but the pinned video on her account in which she mouths the words to Yg Marley’s Praise Jah in the Moonlight, has gone viral online.

It’s clocked up 707 million views to date, 47 million likes and 1.7 million comments.

The eye-watering numbers are pushing the 23-year-old closer to snatching the title of most-liked TikTok to date from Balla Poarch.

Poarch has so far notched up 65.9 million likes on a TikTok from 2020 of her bopping her head to M to the B by Millie B.

Halton, a long-time YouTuber, addressed the surge in likes in a post to her followers.

“As many of you know I’ve been posting YouTube videos for around four years now and that is where my passion will always be,” she wrote.

“It’s crazy that this ‘blow up’ has happened in such a short time frame and for those of you that are new followers, I hope you enjoy getting to know me. I’m so emotional and just feel so blessed.”
