Linda Farrow Launches New Holiday Collection ‘White Christmas’

British heritage eyewear brand Linda Farrow has just launched its newest capsule collection, “White Christmas.” The holiday range, announced just in time for the festive season, sees three new limited edition styles revamped and re-introduced in a dreamy winter white colorway.

Featuring some of Linda Farrow’s most popular shapes, the collection includes the Elodie, a flat top D-Frame, the Otavia, an oversized round style and the Marcelo, a white gold aviator outlined with white painted detailing. “We were inspired to create an all winter white collection by the nostalgic vintage ski posters from the 1970s,” says Simon Jablon, Founder and Creative Director of Linda Farrow. “We also wanted to produce a collection that would work all year round, and white is a very versatile color so this worked perfectly!”

The “White Christmas” campaign imagery features British model, author and activist Charli Howard, whose memoir “Misfit” — a stark and honest account of her time as a mainstream model in Paris and London — has shone a spotlight on and sparked much-needed debate about the body image and mental health issues hidden behind the glitz and glamour.

Jablon comments on the choice of Howard as the face for the capsule collection: “We were delighted to shoot Charli for the Christmas campaign as her defiant and free-spirited energy challenges the status quo in our industry, which is exactly what Linda Farrow stands for as a brand.”

“Skiing is my favorite sports!” Speaking of the new campaign, Howard says the fact she got to combine skiing with glam means it’s one of her favorite campaigns to date. “My favorite part of Christmas is definitely the food, Christmas movies and getting to see family that I haven’t seen in a while,” continues Howard, before revealing her top pick from the new collection are the aviator glasses with the link chain: “They make me feel like a bad girl (in a chic way of course)!”

Having re-established his mother’s namesake brand in 2003 after a 20-year hiatus, Jablon sees the 1970s era — when the brand was originally created — being the essence to Linda Farrow’s aesthetics. “In every collection we make sure to remain true to our brand DNA while including fashion led pieces with a modern twist,” says Jablon, and tells me that the Linda Farrow core values include quality and craftsmanship, all led with impeccable design. “We make timeless products that last that people want to cherish and keep for years to come. In an industry that is very throw-away, this is rare.”

Having been a long term fan of the brand’s, I ask Jablon what’s next for Linda Farrow in terms of design and growth, and the founder doesn’t miss a beat: “We always want to continue growing and evolving as a brand. During the design process we love elevating the product and finding new techniques. We love pushing boundaries!”

Stay tuned.
